Salmon On The Run In Twizel

More than 2,000 salmon have escaped into a canal system in Twizel, Canterbury. The salmon have escaped from a local salmon farm and swam into a nearby canal.

Fisherman in Twizel are taking advantage of the opportunity catching as many salmon as they can.I feel that this is crazy that salmon from a local farm has escaped into a nearby canal.

How ever many of them breaching regulations. Fishing rules state that fisherman are not allowed to take more than 2 salmon each day but people warned who took more than their share could face criminal charges.

Wero WhiteWater Trip

On Friday our class went on a trip. We went to Wero WhiteWater rafting. When we arrived we had to wait for the other school to finish.

After that we had to put on the wet suits that the rafting teacher gave us and we had to put on wet shoes and life jackets then lastly a helmet after that we had to listen to Ethan. He taught us how to keep safe from the water and how to paddle.

When we finished we had to listen to the adviser
once again and then we had to do something like go sideways on water.

Then finally we had to go on the raft. When we were on the raft we were with our instructor. We had to follow what the coach said. When we finished we had some fun and we were allowed to  jump on the fast water.
