South Africa Snatch Late Draw Against All Blacks


South Africa have snatched a last minute 16-16 draw against All Blacks. South African half-back Herschel Jantjies scored with one minute remaining, with Andera Pollard slotting the conversion for the tie. The draw sees New Zealand hold on to the Mandela Trophy which is played between the to countries.


The All Blacks led at halftime through a Jack Goodhue try, although South Africa was the better side for most of the 40 minutes. The All Blacks played better in the second half and looked in control of the match until the try in the final minute.

All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick suffered a dislocated shoulder in the game, however, he is expected to to be fit in the World Cup. With this year's competition has been shortened  to three rounds due to World Cup in September.
