The target is to put tension on governments, councils and many more. Many children from different countries, think that adults, politicians, and even big companies aren't doing enough to stop climate change. Jacinda Adern will be attending for New Zealand. Those taking part want world leaders to take more part to stop climate change. Climate change is a serious thing, it can cause major damage to our earth.

Penguin Swims From NZ To Australia
A small penguin from New Zealand has swam to Australia. The fiordland penguin was found struggling against the rocks in the shallow at Kennett river, west of Melbourne, on 10 July.
It was taken, and put in a zoo, by a marine expert. They gave the penguin vitamins, fluids, until it was well enough to eat. It has just been re-released, and been put back in the wild and hope it might swim back to New Zealand. The penguin has travelled 2500 km. Penguins can't fly but, they are sure one of the fastest swimmers on the planet.

Kakapo Hits Record High
New Zealand kakapo has hit record high. Latest records show that the bird has officially reached a record high around 213 adults. This is tremendous news for conservationists who had worked hard to preserve the endangered native species. In 1995 there was just 51 kakapo, alive. Last year there was 148. Experts believe that there are more kakapo alive, then the last 70 years. Kakapo has increased past the 70 years. The population of kakapo has expanded by 70% in the last 3.5 years, due to bumper breeding seasons. Despite the population has increased the native birds are still endangered species.

Government To Trial Free Lunches In Schools!
The government has announced, it will be trailing free lunches in some New Zealand schools.
The trial will start with 30 primary and intermediate schools from the beginning of next year.
Prime minister Jacinda Adern announced the programme at the launch of the child and youth well being strategy in Rotorua. That means children without lunches, will come to school not only to depend on their school to give them lunches but receive some from the government.
The plan is to expand the programme to 21,000 children in 120 schools by the beginning of 2021. Jacinda Adern said in her speech that 10,000 New Zealanders helped develop the plan. Of these, 6000 children, they pointed out that was going to school hungry was a barrier of their learning.
